Which is which?!
Can you tell which picture is of Anna and which is of Carter?! It is amazing in a side-by-side comparison how much they look alike!

Do I have to?
Carter was less than thrilled about me waking him up after he fell asleep on the way to daycare (he does this everyday). Or maybe he was giving me this look because he hates spending his days away from his momma!

More DC pictures...
I didn't realize just how large MLK Jr. memorial was until I saw it in person.
More cherry blossoms! And the Jefferson Memorial in the distance.
More flowers...
I couldn't help myself, we were there at the PERFECT time for blooms!

Washington DC!
A few weeks ago I took a trip that I've been wanting to take for about 5 years now. Kris and I flew to DC and took up a friend on an offer to stay at their place and spend 3 days walking and walking and walking from site to site trying to take it all in. We got lucky enough to visit during the Cherry Blossom Festival and also had beautiful weather. Even with as much as we saw I still need another 3 days to see what we didn't have time to see! This is a trip that EVERYONE should take.

Kris at the Tidal Basin...the trees were amazing!
Yep, the White House! We didn't get too close, but thank goodness for zoom lenses!
Still Day 1 - Walked around the National Mall...I'm guessing about 5 miles total
Taken at the WWII Memorial looking back toward the Washington Monument
WWII Memorial - each state has it's own pillar
Steps to the Lincoln Memorial
It's hard to describe just how big this statue is
It's overwhelming seeing the Vietnam Memorial in person
Day 2 - Arlington Cemetery and the changing of the guard
Elementary students present a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers
There are no words for just how beautiful and peaceful this place is
End of day 2 out side the Capitol Building after our person guided tour by Sen. Burr's rep!

Yummy Yummy!
So Carter has been eating baby food for a while now (he started at 6 months old) but here is a look back at his first attempt...
St. Patty's Day Celebration!
We headed out to the US National Whitewater Center here in Charlotte for their St. Patrick's Day event. They turn the water green, have live music and it turned out to be a beautiful day as you can see from the pictures!
Waiting for the water to turn green!
The water was so green it was strange to watch people raft in it!
You can't really see it but Carter's shirt says "Kiss Me I'm Awesome"!
Anna and Anna...these two don't get to see each other much but when they do they always have a great time!
My Apologies...
It has brought to my attention that I haven't update the blog recently and yes, I totally agree that I haven't been doing a good job. So let me try and catch you up on the last few weeks...

4 Year Check-up!
Anna had her 4 year check-up this week complete with 4 shots...yikes! But she's healthy and comes in at 75th percentile in height and 50th in weight. And it should be mentioned that she took the shots like a champ!
